Home Learning Activities

During the current school closure, we feel that it is vital to maintain a balance between supporting your children's wellbeing and continuing their learning. The current situation is a very unusual one and it is important that we comfort and nurture our children to keep them safe and manage potential anxiety as well as providing learning opportunities whilst they are not at school.

We would like to emphasise the importance for families of playing games and enjoying social time together, being active, spending time in the fresh air where possible and following social distancing guidelines, baking and cooking, painting and being creative, reading books or watching movies together, experiencing virtual trips on the internet or simply talking and laughing with each other.

In order to support with continuing learning, we shall be setting particular tasks for children, if they are well enough, to complete on a weekly basis. Please click on the appropriate year group link below to find the activities set for each week. Please revisit this page weekly for ongoing updated activities. We would encourage the children to complete as many activities as they can within a balanced weekly programme of activities.

Some of the tasks set will require your child to log in to the apps on the pupil useful links page of the school website using the passwords that have been provided. Please contact the school if your child does not have these log in details. When logging into these, you will also find a range of other activities that your child can complete.

We would expect children to continue to read daily and to discuss their reading with an adult and we especially encourage the children to complete the phonics/spelling, English (reading and writing) and Maths activities in order to continue learning in these key areas.
