We are very proud of our school. Evington Valley is a happy, lively and caring place, where each child's uniqueness is cherished and where they are encouraged to learn in an enriched, stimulating and caring environment whilst using an appropriate, broad and challenging curriculum for all children. Evington Valley aims to establish an effective learning partnership between staff, pupils, parents and the community by using motivational teaching and interactive learning

Evington Valley is a friendly and thriving multi-cultural primary school, catering for children between three and eleven years of age. Our school population reflects the rich and diverse cultures living in Leicester and is situated near to the centre of the city in a busy shopping area, close to a mosque and commercial / industrial units.

We consider ourselves to be a caring school in which the pupils are treated as individuals and pupils of all races, cultures and abilities are fully included. The school actively respects and celebrates the heritage of its families and provides a broad and balanced curriculum that is inclusive of all pupils and reflects the society we live in.

The schools most recent Ofsted inspection was in December 2012, when the school was judged to be Good. As you will see in the report (follow the link on the menu)

* achievement is good and improving

* pupils are keen to learn and relate well to each other

* Adults successfully create a secure and positive climate for learning, which promotes pupils' self-confidence and good behaviour, in and around the school.

Inspectors acknowledged that school has the capacity to improve further, and the school feels that staff and Governors have the drive and ambition to progress to an Outstanding judgement in the future.

Please follow the School Performance link on the menu for a report detailing the school's performance at the end of EYFS, KS1 and KS2.

Parent and carers are encouraged to support their child's learning, and are welcome to speak to the class teacher, Headteacher or Attendance & Welfare Officer (on Monday and Tuesday) to discuss any matters concerning them. To ensure adequate time is given, we do ask that an appointment is made at the school office.
